What are the neural mechanisms producing higher cognitive functions and allowing flexible and voluntary behaviours? This is the main theme of my research. It addresses action and outcome valuation, cognitive control / working memory and sequential planning, and how these processes contribute to rapid adaptations, from behavioural, neurophysiological and neurochemical to computational levels. Our research is devoted to uncovering the functional specificities, relationships and dynamics within frontal networks. Most approaches in the lab also aim at uncovering the similarities and specificities of primate brain networks, in function, organization, and computational abilities compared to other species.
