Research interests

I obtained my Ph.D. degree from the University of Grenoble (France) in 1997; my research focused on axonal guidance, using chick skin sensory innervation during development as a model. I then spent the next 3,5 years as a post-doc (Shriver Center for Mental Retardation ; University of Massachusetts, Medical School (Waltham, Massachusetts, U.S.A)). I was still working on axonal guidance, using this time the rodent olfactory system as a model.

I came back to France in 2001, first as a postdoc and then as an assistant professor (Maître de conférences) in Patrick Mehlen's laboratory in Lyon (current name: Apoptosis, Cancer and Development; CRCL) where I studied the role of dependance during the development of the rodent nervous system.

I also worked in the CRNL, and in CARMEN before joining the SBRI.

I am an assistant professor of Genetics/Genomics/Developmental Biology at the Lyon1 University (Science and Technology; Biosciences Department). I am responsible of a Genomics teaching unit at Lyon1 University and of Neurophysiology practicla works at the ENS de Lyon.

In collaboration with Serge Nataf, PU-PH at the Lyon-1 university, I am using bioinformatics and data mining approaches to investigate the impact of immunity on cognition.

A current focus of interest is to assess the role of physiological autoimmunity on the development and maintenance of cognitive functions.
