Alumni Team "Cellular reprogramming in the brain"
I am interested in exploring pathological conditions in the brain and novel avenues for brain repair. My master’s thesis was focused on identifying putative targets of the endocannabinoid system and their impact on cell death using in vitro models of disease.
The goal of my project is 1) to convert glia cells into so-called induced neurons, that acquire phenotypic properties analogous to their endogenous counterparts; and 2) to identify critical molecular events during this reprogramming process.
